Best way to keep your curtains clean

Love SwitchBot because the curtains open and close on a schedule. Keeps my curtains clean so I don’t have to manually open and close them. I highly recommend and get the solar panels. Keeps them charged up with the sun!

Device is fine, but I prefer local control

I ordered the mini hub to control two Curtain 3 robots. The hub worked fine and controlled the curtains without issue. Having said that, I use Home Assistant and whenever possible I prefer controlling devices locally rather than via the cloud. So I ended up installing a Bluetooth proxy in Home Assistant and I now control the curtain robots via the official Home Assistant Switchbot Bluetooth integration, which is local. I would add that interfacing with Switchbot support was confusing. I reached out via the app to initiate a return and was told that 1) they can’t initiate a return (even though the response came from the same email they told me to reach out to) and 2) they told me that using the Switchbot Bluetooth integration is not officially supported, which is odd because Switchbot Curtain robots are part of the “Works with Home Assistant” program.

Easy and fast integration

Very easy installation of two hub minis. The data from various climate meters was available shortly afterwards
