Nice Fitting Jacket

Nice fitting jacket, good zipper and cinch cord at the bottom. Material is soft and has a waffle like pattern. Sleeve length is perfect for my 34/35 sleeve measurement and the bottom length is perfect for my 6ft height. The interior is a soft waffle like weave. Pockets are where they should be and sized right. Can't speak for water resistance yet. This jacket fills the gap between a windbreaker and a light insulated coat. The gray color looks nice. This is made in China but appears to be well made.Four stars because can't speak for water resistance yet.

Absolutely Worth Every Penny!

I used to wear a Columbia rain jacket. Keywords are "used to". The Apex is far superior, and indeed, while it is a shell jacket, the amount of pockets (5) on this makes it extremely easy to jam whatever you carry everyday in well-placed pockets throughout the exterior and interior of the jacket. For windy and/or rainy days, the jacket keeps the elements away from you, because that's the main function of these jackets, right? Regarding the length, I am a relatively short guy compared to a majority of folks buying here, but I must say, the large size has satisfied my needs, running past my hip, and not only does it mean I can lean on dirty/wet surfaces, but also conceal another essential EDC item since I typically wear large untucked shirts. When I first was considering this product against the other offerings by DD, I wasn't sure that I wanted to replace my Columbia, but let me tell you, the standard has been changed irreversibly and the Apex now has claimed the title of being my apex jacket. (Pun intended)
