The Everyday

This is a beast of a belt. It dwarfs anything I have ever encountered in more than a half century of life, in terms of absolute thickness of leather. I see no reason it would not suffice in a rig to extract a heavy off-road vehicle stuck in a giant mud bog. So it is clear this belt will last a long time. On the other hand, the very first item of apparel I tried this belt on, my Jerry brand utility shorts, the belt would not fit in the loops more than once. Which you kind of need on the left side after going through the buckle. Jeans, etc., no problem. But considering that utility and durability were the reasons I bought this belt, and my favorite shorts for utility that I can wear where I live in Hawaii for mud trail hiking, it was a near show stopper. I won’t be able to use this belt the way I had hoped. Sad. The absolute thickness and heft compared to any belt you can buy in a store should have been made very clear before purchase. Maybe I am a strange use case. Disappointed.

Belt is great and substantially made! I followed the process and upsized but it was too large. The return process was simple and I love the belt I ended up with. Feels good to have a proper leather belt!

Quality. As expected, the leather is pretty stiff initially, but it will soften in over time. Color is just beautiful. Deep, rich and congac. The buckke contrast really well too.
