Not rip stop material

Beware- the material is not rip stop. Packing it to travel and the pouch ripped - could not use it for a trip I was taking the next day. Customer service was responsive and I had to make a warranty claim and provide pictures and send it back (on my dime). They are currently processing that - I won’t be able to review again and change any comments until I get it back and actually use it. However, for the price - not sure it is worth it. Flimsy all around. I agree with other reviewers on the chest straps and bag straps hurt when using. I have a cheaper version I used in Europe and that had zero problems.

This had been our favorite backpack for Disneyland! I love how lightweight it is, it adjusts to different sizes as needed, big/secure exterior waterbottle pockets, interior pocket, and conpletely waterproof! We cant wait to take it on hikes next summer.

I bought 2 of these for my daughter (age 10) and I for a trip to Costa Rica during June… rainy season. And boy did they deliver! My daughter’s survived a dunk in the ocean when she fell off the side of the boat returning from a snorkel trip. Mine kept my camera dry through multiple excursions in actual rain (and despite its lightweight fabric, more than adequately supported my camera (and lenses), especially with the aid of the chest strap). Water bottles generally stayed secure with the cinch straps, and the packs were quite roomy enough for day-hiking & beach essentials like raincoats, towels, sunscreen, snacks, etc. My only markdown is that the t-clips holding on the chest straps definitely can work themselves loose, so you could lose them if you don’t check them regularly. Easily solved by popping them out and stowing in one of the zipper pockets when not needed. Really pleased with the product and it will be my go-to accessory for casual adventure travel!
