I have only used this fly in one hard rain. I set it up as low, and as tight to the hammock as I could get, and it barely worked. Enough rain blew under the tarp to get the bottom of one side of the hammock damp, but I was laying on a 3/4 length air mattress, and I stayed completely dry. Also, I love that the fly fits the hammock in such a way that I only need two stakes for the whole setup! However, I REALLY wish it had pockets to hold the lines like the hex tarp.
