Pump connects to mattress with friction fit. Because of the one way valve, it can not be used to deflate the mattress. My Big Agnes has similar value but also a deflate valve which collapses it completely in seconds. I could leave the pump attached while it inflated. A big plus.

This thing is top notch. Once you're done pumping up your air mattress, hang it at the head of the hammock and plug your ridgelight in to it! You can also charge your devices! And for all that, it really doesn't weight that much. 12/10
