Worked great for a long, cold pulk trip
My partner and I used Steger Yukons for an 11-day pulk trip in Wrangell St. Elias last week. Low temps were between -30 and -40F, and our feet stayed comfortable both while active during the day (snowshoeing) and while in camp. Double wide was the right choice for laying a couple of insoles and pairs of socks. The felt liners work great to wick moisture away from the foot, though the leather uppers froze quickly at those temps and formed frost inside the boots. We had a hot tent and could dry them in the evenings, and an extra set of liners is great for switching out. When my feet were "warm" and active, the thawed suede would collect a layer of snow, which seemed to soak into the leather as it thawed by the stove in the evening. I used Steger's silicone snow-proof spray, but will apply it more heavily next time. While drying the liners, I sometimes wore down booties inside the boot, which kept my feet out of the snow and warm. Overall, incredible soft, comfortable, and easy to use. I loved wearing them, and am thankful for a light, versatile boot for trips like this.

Excellent boot, very comfortable and warm. The traction is also excellent. I've been in 25 below with real feel 56 below. Feet stayed warm. I strongly recommend them.

Very warm, comfortable, and lightweight.
These boots exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, warmth, and function. They kept my feet warm in 0 degree F temperatures (without even using the extra warmth liners) and work great moving through deep snow as they feel very light. They feel like walking on a cloud, by far the most comfortable pair I've worn out in the back country.
