It's in the name!

Great rod for backpacking / hiking, especially here in Colorado! The tenkara setup makes dropping a line easy as can be and the different zoom lengths help adjust from tight streams up to open alpine lakes. I'm just getting into fly fishing and this is a great way to start out that keeps things fun!

Outstanding! I took it out the day it came and caught a bunch of little brookies. A really quick learning curve and the packability/ compactness is great. I can’t say enough about the quality either, super well made.

Would not recommend

Took a life list backpacking trip to the bottom of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison CO, and my pole broke in the first 20 minutes. I spent days empty handed on gold medal waters watching my brother and nephew pull in lunkers. Mind you, I’ve been an angler for most of my 50 years, and know what breaks a pole. This was clearly a defect. I DM’d TRC on Instagram twice with no response. Beyond disappointed.
