The Bolduc Unlined (Comp Toe)

Stepping into the boots the first time felt great, and getting out was just as pleasantly easy. However, after a full day of wear, a hot spot and blister began to develop on the outer lower ankle near where the upper and lower leather elements stitch together. On the inside of the boot, it seemed like the area near the hotspot was bent inward causing chafing on the skin. I suspect it will get better as the boots break in, but compensation with thick socks and/or moleskin will be necessary until then. Also, the toe of the boot was a bit more bulbous than it appears online and contributes to a much larger look on the foot compared to other boots. Not bad, just a matter of preference.

The flat sole makes it super comfortable to stand/walk on concrete all that. The inner soles are super comfortable. I’m a production welder so they deal with sparks and heat for 8-12 hours a day and for the past six months or so they’ve held up great.
