My New Favourite Channel Strip

I picked up the SSL 4K E during a recent sale, and it has quickly become an essential part of my mixing template. While I use other channel strips for transparent, surgical work, the 4K E is unmatched for adding authentic analog character and weight to a mix. The modeled Jensen transformer and VCA fader allow me to drive the input for rich saturation, and the constant-Q EQ delivers that signature aggressive SSL punch. It’s an exceptional tool for giving individual tracks and buses genuine console bite without smearing the transients. Highly recommended, especially at the sale price.

Great channel strip

I've got a UAD version of this which is great but I gave this a try and think it is better / a great alternative for a similar sound if the other one ain't working so well. TBH I think this is now my favourite mixing channel and will probably be my default choice from now on. My mixes with this sound great - just right basically.

Great SSL Channel Strip

SSL 4K E sounds excellent and is very easy to use. The EQ and dynamics are musical, fast, and very practical in a mix. It adds classic SSL punch and clarity without making the workflow complicated. The plugin feels polished, stable, and professional. I am very happy with this purchase.
