The SSL 4K channel strips are really solid. I've never worked with consoles and as such haven't used the units these are based on so I can't really comment on the authenticity. But what I can say is that coaxing out the sounds you are after has been a breeze using the 4K B and G, and the E is no different. It's just a nice piece of software that can help streamline your process and give your projects some extra flavor.

THE BEST MODELED SSL 4K-E

This is the best SSL 4K-E modeling plugin... I have other models; Brainworx is good, but some channels bother me, especially the bass cut, which varies a lot between left and right. I have to do a test with a sine wave and note which ones I don't want to use; the variations in the others are fine. Besides modeling the sound, they've also modeled the background noise, which is higher than in the other models. The UAD one has low background noise, and the sound is similar to the 4K-E console, but the SSL one sounds cleaner and has more options. I'm definitely sticking with SSL; when I see another offer, I'll buy the 4K-B and 4K-G. So much money wasted!!! If only I had known this before...
