The Vesper

Excellent rod! I'm new to Euro Nymphing. In fact, I just fished Euro Style yesterday, and it was awesome. This rod has great feel and sensitivity. It took me a few casts to figure out how to cast my my spring creek set-up (Cortland nymphing fly line - 15' of Amnesia - 5' of Umpaqua fighter line - tippet ring - 3' 4x tippet with a 8" 5x surgeon knot tag for a 2 fly rig). I think had it been a little warmer, I would have felt the strikes (water 36° ambient 31°). The breeze made the 31° temps gem much colder. I can hardly wait to go out this week of Thanksgiving. This will be my primary winter fishing rod (10' 6" 3wt paired with a Lampson Liquid 3wt reel). Idaho winter fishing can be a challenge. This rod will be a hand changer.

Very nice fly rod complete with tube sock, embroidered rod tube and most importantly a second tip for the rod! Reviews on Vesper rods are excellent and they are ready for any type of water!
