Slick reel!
I was impressed with this reel from the moment I took it out of the box. Even the box was elegant and cool. I purchased this for my new Scott GT 8’10” 4 wt, and it perfectly balances the rod. I find it a little unclear how to remove the spool, but it hasn’t been an issue so far. It is of high quality, and the color is perfect for my new rod. This is my first Lawson purchase, but I will surely be coming back for more!

nice reel for money
For the money, this is a nice reel with the right "guts". Own several Lamson reels, along with Galvan, Ross, Abel and Nautilus--Lamson drags are hard to beat. Great starter or back-up reel.

Feels like a premium reel.
By far the best fly reel for under $200, sounds great and has an incredible drag system.
