Great SubGen but can sound a little synthetic on a whole mix
Its a great plugin overall, but because I enjoy using SubGen plugins to enhance acoustic mixes where a bass is missing, this is sometimes a hit and miss for this task, while there are other plugins I use which do the job in this situation better a lot of the time.

Replaced Several of my subharmonic enhancers.
Previously, I was using tools like Little Labs VOG and BX_Subfilter; tools which by the way are great and have aided to many of my mixes. However, the amount of control SSL Subgen is giving me over those specific frequency harmonics, drive, and compression, is second to none. Using this on kicks and bass.

SSL does it again!
SubGen is really incredible! It's not just your usual "Sub Octave" booster and allows for many levels of frequency as well as texture of the harmonics. I've been looking for this plugin for quite a while!
