Really Nice Tamper

Beautifully designed and manufactured tamper. I have a vintage La Pavoni lever espresso machine with 49mm basket size for the group head. The 49mm measurement is nominal, as the baskets are slightly larger. Most 49 mm tampers are slightly undersized. Weber makes their tamper a very precise 49.50mm. This fits perfectly in my baskets now, and channeling is eliminated. With the spring-loaded pressure calibration, I’m now getting the best shots of espresso I have ever pulled from my La Pavoni!

This is the best functional tamper I have owned.
