Overall a good upgrade from the SDS 100. App works great, having USBC and GPS built in is very nice. Going from the SDS 100 to the 150 I did notice two things that stand out. Firstly, the speaker. The volume is much lower from the 150's speaker vs the 100. I find myself listening at 10 out of 15 on the 150. On the 100 I would listen at 5 out of 15 on average. Not a dealbreaker, but on a lower signal, you will find your self maxing out the volume. I also find that the 150's speaker breaks up before the 100's speaker. Secondly, and slightly worryingly, is the RSSI / sensitivity. I'll put the 100 and 150 side by side, both with the stock antennas, both on the same frequency, the 100 is always a higher RSSI than the 150. Not just a db or two, typically 4-8 db better on the 100 vs the 150. This is using the RSSI meter on the detailed display. Both will show the same signal strength on the little cell phone style bar graph. This is more apparent at VHF frequencies than higher frequencies such as LE ranges. So on the feature side, lots of good upgrades on the 150. Signal reception wise, it would appear than the 100 has the advantage for some reason. Fortunately, in my area the signals I listen to are fairly strong. But it is a little disappointing to spend more money, and have any feature not be the same or better performance.

Only issue is it would be nice to have more how to videos. The manual is not very clear.

The scanner I purchased was the SDS150. I am very happy with it. I have owned Bearcat scanners for over thirty years. I reached out to customer service and they were amazing. I highly recommend Uniden.
