Performed excellently on the Camino de Santiago
I know this backpack is up to more technical adventures, but its first use for me was this spring on the Camino de Santiago. It was sturdy, expanded and contracted as needed to haul all my stuff (or just some of it), and carried comfortably. I have some rheumatoid arthritis in my back, so that is high praise. 22L is a good size for a Camino, and the versatility of the pockets helped me a lot; for some stretches I carried 2.5L of water. I also love the side compression closure for both aesthetic and practical reasons. A great pack I look forward to using again on my next foray.

Nice but could be better for the price
This is a good lightweight daypack, but it could be better with 1" steps and buckles, as well as a pocked for a water bladder. Considering how light this pack is adding those features would only add a few ounces to the weight and would not be noticeable. The pack is comfortable and with the amount of room the roll top gives, it plenty large enough for an easy day hike. If it had normal straps and the water bladder sleeve I would probably bump up to four to five stars. Also, I have a Southwest 70 (which I love), so I am used to the lack of outside pockets and appreciate the simplicity.
