Nothing wrong with boosting your grip getting weight off the floor.
These straps will take a bit practice to use but will aid you consistently pulling off the floor.

Comfortable but Sticky
These grip almost too well on the bar. They have a sticky coating on the straps on the one side and it works really well but can grip so well they are hard to remove from the bar after your lift.
