I added this belt to my order specifically for training deadlifts as a local fat guy. I have a 13mm Inzer belt that is great, but its width and stiffness is unforgiving to my 'power belly' --effectively shortening my range of motion and/or leaving me with bruises. I had been looking for a softer and/or narrower belt, but didn't want to spend a lot. This price on this made it a no brainer to try and have been very happy. I use it for most of my heavier sets, bringing in the more serious belt only for heavy top sets. It's also great to throw on keep you on honest with your form on accessory work. I was a bit skeptical of the closure mechanism from the description, but it works well and I have no concerns about it or the belts construction. If you're a casual lifter or have never lifted with a belt this is great first belt. Light and compact in your gym bag.
