SDS200

I have a BCD 536 HP scanner but where I was located at Quincy Illinois Adams County they upgraded their radio system to a p25 digital and basically the 536 HP even though it receives p25 signals well where I'm located at they had simulcast issues because they broadcast off the 10 different Towers now and it wasn't working the 536 cuz of the simulcast issues that's why I went to the SDS 200 and I was ever so pleased when I received it and programmed it and plugged it in it took right off with the frequencies I received all my Quincy police all my fire ambulance and so all where I'm located at in Illinois no problems at all decoded them perfectly that scanner was exactly what I needed the 536 couldn't handle it even though it's a good scanner SDS 200 took care of take care of all my problems and I'm thinking about in the future I'll save up some more money and I think I'm going to purchase either the 100 or the 150 SDS

Well the firmware should be updated before you sale a product. The scanner it's self is ok difficult to program. You set your Zipp code it really won't pick up and traffic. You do full data install still won't work it puts in the audio type wrong and the modulation is wrong also. Set the quick save moda need to install everything. For digital scanner was hoping for a little more easier set up. Would I i buy it again probably not.

Should have up to date SD Card programing

We purchased a SDS200 because of the excellent history we experienced with this brand. We have only had it for a short time but very confident it will be a very good scanner. Our only complaint is that it needs downloads and upgrades to make it receive correctly. We feel for the cost it should come with an updated SD Card. Fix that and we good!
