We purchased a SDS200 because of the excellent history we experienced with this brand. We have only had it for a short time but very confident it will be a very good scanner. Our only complaint is that it needs downloads and upgrades to make it receive correctly. We feel for the cost it should come with an updated SD Card. Fix that and we good!

HARDWARE: fantastic. Sentinel software: not so much
The scanner itself is gorgeous. Easy to unbox and power up for my home radio station (I'm a ham radio operator and weather spotter/amateur meteorologist).
HOWEVER...although I was able to go through all the state/county/city agencies I want to monitor, and once I figured out how to APPEND it to my favorite list...I CANNOT PROGRAM IT TO THE RADIO. I even tried different (properly formatted) micro-SD cards, it cannot read them.
I cannot get the trunked systems I desire, and yet I am stuck with constantly having to press "avoid" to keep the radio quiet for the 2 or 3 channels that I do manage to receive.

Excellent radio. I was up and running in minutes. Does exactly what I need it to do. Delivered quickly with no issues.
