CS40 Ultra Backpack

I haven’t used this backpack yet, but I love the light weight and the design. I have a 29” waist, so it’s great to have a hip belt small enough to work properly. I see 2 issues with the pack that I wish were different. First, the hip belt pockets are too small for even a cell phone and the zippers are too short. I have small hands and can only get 3 fingers into the pockets. Second, the outside pocket on the back needs to be larger. With only 2 side pockets and the tiny hip belt pockets, the back pocket needs to be bigger for easy and quick access to rain gear, layers of clothing etc.

Best backpack ever

I have owned Osprey, Dana Design, Mountainsmith, and REI and this is the best ever. If you have an ultralight kit you can use this for 3-4 days in the Rockies in the summer easily (with a food canister). It fits like a dream and carries the load effortlessly. I am 5' 6" 145 with a 31 inch waist and bought the small with medium belt--perfect fit.
