Trying KMC Chains for the first time
So far (about a month) in riding with the new chain my experience has been great. Don't notice any differences between the shimano chain I rode before. We'll see how it holds up in the long run, but would definitely recommend to anyone looking to replace their old chain.

Time for the missus' bike maintenance
My wife has a Santa Cruze Tallboy, and it was time for a new chain. I've had super good luck with the 12 speed road chain for my Campy-equipped bike, so when it was time for a new chain for the tall boy, it was going to be a KMC. (I bought a few missing links as well. Very helpful for chain maintenance.)
It's early on the KMC for the mountain bike, but if it works like my road chain, we'll be good to go. On the stand, shifting is good, chain is quiet, and it rides the sprockets really well. We'll see how things go, but I am optimistic.

Great chain
I bought the silver X12 with the hope that it would be smoother and last longer than the Shimano XT chains I have been using. The first ride with the X12 confirmed that this is a chain that is smoother and shifts better than the chains I have used. I only have 48 miles on the X12, but so far, the chain has lived up to my expectations. My Niner Jet 9 shifts better than it ever has. I expect that the longevity will also outperform my previous chains.
