The Wax Kit is easy to use and really simplifies the process. Only wish it had a lid so that I could put it on my garage shelf and if need be to be able to place something else on top of it.

I’ve never found waxing a chain this easy. I’ve been doing it for the past five years, and this is by far the easiest system I’ve used. The price is what it is, but it’s a high-quality product, and I’m happy to support Jakob and Cyclowax on their journey. The packaging is sleek and compact, the guide is easy to follow, and the product feels robust and well made. Overall, I’m very satisfied. The only thing I’m missing is perhaps a stand for the chains when waxing multiple chains at once. But that’s definitely a nice-to-have rather than a must-have. All in all, a great product that makes chain waxing simple and hassle-free.

Ordered in March, arrived in August. Worth the wait? Well, yes. Would it have been nicer to arrive sooner? Also yes, but pleased to be (finally) using a well thought out and well executed system for waxed chain management and maintenance. My previous system was to melt wax in a hot water bath in an ultrasonic cleaner, insert chain, remove after “some time”and hang over a towel on the shop floor until cooled, followed by bending each link around a small radius object until the whole thing was more or less “free to move”. Then install; ride, rinse, repeat.
Now my ultrasonic cleaner is used soley for cleaning, and waxing/rewaxing a chain is a super simple process that results in a chain with just the right amount of wax…not too little, not too much but just right.
What don’t i like? One of the chain caddies arrived with two of the three screws holding the halves together completely AWOL. No worries, i picked up a bag of wee (#4 x 3/8”) wood screws, 2 ea. job done.
