So easy to wax chain now

I have three bikes and with this new Cyclowax kit and three chain spools, waxing all three is quick and hassle free. And, the wax seems to last as long as Silca's wax does. The only down side I have found is that the chain spools are designed for narrow chains (11 speed and up). So for wider chains (like an 8 speed chain), wrapping the chain around the spool is a little tight, but it still works. Highly recommend.

Item was ordered during presale end of March. Been looking forward to getting it and it did not disappoint. Warms up quick and makes waxing a lot easier. I like the idea of the chain holder but I had an instance when end of chain happened to come loose from holder after waxing when I was letting wax drip before setting it aside. Winding chain into holder also makes me worry about breaking/longevity as I have to stretch the sides to slip the chain into holder during winding.

So far so good. Done three chains so far. Initial startup was a bit confusing because I didn’t hear the vibration of the unit. Must have been away from it for too long and missed it. Got it on the second run to do first chain. Smooth as silk from there. The spare wax just peels off and goes into top of other wax. You need to submerge it so it melts, if not, machine will heat up and start cooldown before that little bit melts back in. Really need to have chain on it. Anyway, if there is only one thing I can critique…. its a dust cover, like a nice 3D printed dust cover that can cover the wax so dust stays out? Please? I don’t have a 3D printer and not spending the money on one. So someone get on it!!!! Pretty please 🥺
