I live in Kentucky and received a phone call from my post office at 06:30 the very next morning after they shipped... The post office doesn't open until 08:30 but the bees "creeped them out" so they wanted them picked up immediately. When I got there and checked the packages, there wasn't even a thin layer of dead bees... Not the case when I did an actual pickup at Kelley bees in the past. My 3 packages are settled in well, are very friendly and are absolutely thriving. I did manage to lose one of the queens on day 4 since she was the only one that hadn't been released but that was all on me and I was able to borrow a frame with a queen cell from my sister-in-law so they should be fine. They'll have a headstart being in a give with at least one frame of drawn comb, honey and brood compared to the other two hives that have nothing but bare foundations. Anyway, really fast shipping, friendly bees and very little dead bees. I'm super happy.

My package was delivered extremely late more than half of bees were dead. Package was shoved in a post office plastic bin. Could not tell they were all dead till they balled up the next day. Syrup can was empty! It’s terrible when you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
