Different formula?

I might just be going crazy but I feel like the formula is different. It’s been a couple years since I’ve used up my last jar, but I loved it last time. It was very cooling and soothing. This time it burned my face as soon as I applied it, but I let it sit because sometimes my skin likes to be sensitive. But it continued to burn, and burn. So I had to rinse it off before it could dry. I don’t know why my skin doesn’t like it anymore :(
