Perfect EDC Bag for Work & Travel

I work in cybersecurity, so I definitely pack out my bag with a lot of tech, gadgets, cables, and miscellaneous items, and the Able Carry Max EDC has been amazing. There’s a dedicated spot for practically everything I carry, and I love how organized it keeps all of my gear. One of my favorite features is the front storage area. Since it rains a lot where I live, I can easily carry a windbreaker or rain jacket up front and keep it separate from all of my tech. The latch points have also been surprisingly useful, and the amount of pockets is perfect. I honestly didn’t think I would use every single one, but somehow I am! I also really appreciate the more discreet storage options. The secret side pocket has been incredibly useful for keeping certain belongings tucked away but still easy to access. Even better is the hidden pocket inside the bag. It’s an amazing spot for personal and important items like IDs, work badges, a passport, or anything else you don’t necessarily want sitting in one of the more obvious compartments. It adds another level of organization and peace of mind, especially when traveling. I recently took it on its first flight to San Francisco, and that’s where the bag really impressed me. I was able to fit a packing cube in the front, socks in the additional pocket, all of my tech gear, and everything else I needed without feeling like I was fighting for space. Going through TSA was easy, and being able to slide it right onto my carry-on made traveling through the airport much more convenient. Between everyday work, flying, and travel, this bag has made carrying everything I need so much easier and more organized. The capacity, pocket layout, hidden storage, and overall versatility are excellent. Definitely one of my favorite bags I’ve owned and an easy recommendation for anyone who carries a lot of tech or wants a great EDC and travel bag.

Finally, an EDC that is versatile enough to accommodate short and longer trips for minimalist travellers. Pockets are built in harmony for what I need, not visible nets for water bottles; everything is in its own perfectly designed pocket. The front vertical pocket is a work of art. I used the max expandable, but it was way too big for me. If you are a minimalist traveller and you are looking for a bag for a week-long travel trip or for an adventure, I highly recommend it. X-pack version of course.

Really well-made. Definitely not an old-school backpack

While traveling recently, it became clear that my dated backpack lacked the compartments needed to quickly empty my pockets before airport security. The pockets were either too big, too small, and definitely too few. After weeks of online research, Able Carry emerged as a brand that seems to make many methodical design choices based on actual use cases. The Max EDC is the nicest backpack I have ever owned, and the quality of the materials is impressive. There are multiple pockets of varying sizes on both the top and the side. The side-carry handle is also very practical. I chose X-Pack, a material I had only seen in pictures, and it is striking in person. It is stiffer than anything I have owned and gives the bag great structure. One downside is that the pack is heavier than expected. The X-Pack material contributes to this, but it also comes from the thick interior lining and padding, which feel luxurious compared to old-school backpacks. The Max EDC might be the last backpack I'll ever buy.
