NYC 5 Boro Bike Tour

I met the owner at the pre tour registration. Tried the helmet & immediately loved it. I left the venue, traveled a mile away , almost got on the train leaving the city when I decided to go back to make the purchase. Three days later I rode 47 miles thru NYC with complete helmet comfort and security Charlie C.

All round excellence

Living In London I needed a more practical helmet that I can carry in my bag for times when I want to jump on a rental ebike. The big helmet I already have is really impractical to take around with me just in case I might use it. So I needed a foldable helmet and there are lots out there but the safety aspect was concerning, as to whether they would actually be strong enough in the event of an accident. I was impressed that Fend 'exceed's US CPSC and European EN1078 safety standards'. I love the ease of fitting it really well each time, (which can change if my hair is tied up), it feels really solid but not heavy and folding it up is really easy. I then bought one for my younger son who uses bikes around the city all the time but resisted wearing a helmet before because of the difficulty of what to do with it when you're not using it. He really likes the fact he can fold it away in his ruck sack and now wears his Fend every time he cycles. Then my older son, who happily wore his old helmet, when seeing how neat and strong they are has asked for a Fend as well . Knowing we are all properly protected now on the road makes me very happy.
