The Hume Pod

Very nice to use, also great to see your water weight to ensure your not dehydrated, and during weight loss where the weight is dropping from..muscle, fat, visceral fat, etc. Fitness cam be like a science experiment and this provides amazing data.

It has been interesting, to say the least. It is very hard to interpret what I see. It says I am not active, but it only seems to appreciate steps and walking. I do body pump which is really intense, yet it does not seem to read that activity. Also while it tracks food pretty well, it tends to over estimate portions (For example, I had a scrambled egg on an English muffin and it assumed it was 2 eggs when I knew it was just 1 egg). Also it wants me to weigh in first thing in the morning when I would be most dehydrated then it misreads my body comp because I am dehydrated. And the instructions are not very clear. My readings made so little sense that I googled how to stand on it and hold the handles and found out I was doing it wrong. It is better than a simple scale, for sure, but wish it were more refined and accurate.

I would give this product zero stars if this was an option. It never worked right out of the box. On day 3 of no help from this company on a return. They simply don't stand behind their products. Take a look at some of those forums out there for troubleshooting the Hume Pod. This speaks louder than anything. I wish i would have done more research on the number of customers with product performance that someone had to start these up because Hume customer service refused to help. Unfortunately there are a LOT of customers with the same issues of poor product performance. Purchasing this product is a gamble; some work and some don't. You just don't know which one you are going to get. I would not be surprised if Hume repackages and reships out their defective returned products. Shameful.
