Adjustable Standing Desk - Black

I’m happy with my order except for one aspect: the variation of the wood. I realize that this is part of the beauty of the product, but I was disappointed by the extreme blond to dark edge of my desk. To have the desk generally dark wood with an extremely light wood grain across the front edge is not the look I was hoping for. I did let them know and was told "All of our live edges come from the sapwood - the outermost section of the tree, which is a blonder part of the tree." All the photos I saw showed more equal variation throughout the piece, so this was very disappointing to me. But I'm giving four stars because after going through more of the product reviews I see that some other desks are the same and I probably should've done more thorough research. Sharing in case this is helpful to others who don't like this look. Aside from that, everything else is top notch from the quality of the frame, the wood and finishing of the wood, and the motor mechanism.

I purchased a live-edge standing desk from Keelan Scott for approximately $630. After only 60 days of normal indoor use in a climate-controlled home office, the desktop developed a significant crack that runs through the front edge and across the top surface. I contacted customer service immediately and provided photos. While they were responsive, they declined to repair or replace the desktop because their warranty period is 50 days and the crack appeared approximately 10 days after that period expired. Instead, I was offered a discount toward purchasing a replacement tabletop… spending more money with them. I understand companies need warranty policies, but I do not believe a premium solid wood desktop should develop a crack of this size after only two months of normal use. I am disappointed that no repair or replacement was offered given the age of the product and the nature of the defect. Buyers should be aware that if a wood movement or cracking issue develops shortly after the warranty period ends, they may be responsible for purchasing a replacement top themselves

I am very happy with the adjustable standing desk. It is very sturdy, well made & the solid wood top is beautiful. Also got the matching live edge monitor stand/shelf.
