Sage Shift Fly Reel

I've been a fly fisherman for more than 40 years, and have owned a number of different manufacturer's reels. I like this model: I have some training as a machinist, and like the fit and finish. The drag adjustment is large and easy to grip when you fingers are wet. No protruding parts or sharp edges to catch your loose fly line or clothes. And for fishing a 6-8 hour day, the weight is an important feature.
