After two starts.
After two starts, it is coming along nicely. I love the pattern the double yarn is making. My only problem (for me) was, being a double sided it was to rip it back a few rows. There was no way I was able to get it back on my needle. So, took it all the way down and started again.
The directions were fairly clear. With the help of Google tutorials on double yarn cast on its going nicely.
