The Knitter's Thumb Stabilizer

I rarely knit in the summer. I garden. This summer, my thumbs began hurting at the joints for the first time. It worried me since I use my hands for a lot that I do. When I saw the ad for these braces, I thought I'd better get them onboard, since my thumbs are very involved in knitting also. In short, I haven't had a chance to try them out yet.

I received my gloves, but unfortunately I think I should have ordered a smaller size. Although they go on my hand just fine, they don't seem to be giving me the support that I wished they would give me. Do you accept exchanges? I really would benefit with a smaller, tighter size.

My new brace seems to help, but I still have issues. The arthritis has been around for a year or so, but I also injured my arm, so the pain I had got worse. I can knit, but I need to take breaks, and I never know if knitting brings on the pain or it was something else entirely. I have some pain-free time, and that's a win.
