Can’t beat this for the money! This is my new recommendation for a person looking for a quality reel. Anxious to put it through some field testing. The previous reigning champion was the Orvis Clearwater , they held up very well. This reel should do every bit as well at a better price. Hard to believe the pricing on this reel.

Pretty decent reel for the money

The reel is quality made, has a good drag and came with a good quality preloaded line. There are 2 things I would change. The spool handle needs to be longer, and the spool removal knob needs to be recessed to avoid banging a knuckle on it when reeling. I installed a longer spool knob and filed down the sharp edges on the spool knob.
