SwitchBot Roller Shade

Nice build quality for the cost.

The shades have good build quality, they’re easy to install, and come with everything needed (minus a drill bit). The issue is how they communicate with the software. I paired two of them together in a bedroom and set a schedule (which is limited to 5 events) and they initially worked together, but I tried to turn off the schedule for the weekend and it only turned off for one shade. When I turned it back on, the opposite shade synced. Also, trying to get them to work remotely with Home Assistant and the Hub 3 with Matter has been qwerky too. In can’t get them to work if I’m outside the house, so it seems the matter integration isn’t working, only the local Bluetooth connection. More troubleshooting required.

Incredible attention to detail

I was really impressed by the attention to detail in the product packaging and installation instructions/plan. I was able to get the blinds nice and flush into the space, cutting the fabric to length was painless, all of the tools were included with extra hardware so I didn't have to worry about losing a tiny screw, and most significantly, all of the stickers were designed to come off! It doesn't sound like a huge deal, but every alignment, placement, and temporary-structural sticker had a peel tab and left no residue. Super neat design, a pleasure to install, integrated seamlessly with my HomeAssistant system to solve a weird problem in my weird house involving a window that's shared by two bedrooms on separate floors. 10/10 would buy more SwitchBot products.

This works very very well

I takes two people to install this. Just follow the included instructions carefully!!! Another reason I bought this was for the AI Hub and its compatibility with Apple Home.
