As I have stated from the beginning of using my ROK it produces some of the best espresso I've tasted. My original ring failed at just over one year of use! And based on support's response to my rusty basket and the very reasonable replacement cost I decided to purchase three replacements assuming that the ring is potentially a weak design part. But if I have to replace the ring every year, I hope ROK will still be producing replacement parts in four years.

Cracked ring, owned for 2 months
The bayonet ring cracked after a couple uses. I followed the many videos online to use the espresso maker correctly but was not able to keep the espresso shot in the slot after the bayonet ring cracked. This is a design concern. Yes the ring has a cheap replacement and quick fix but how often will I need to replace it? The design does not seat the espresso shot, instead, the design relies on friction to hold it in place. So, again, how often will I need to replace this bayonet ring? It will depend on how long friction takes to shave down the ring to the point of it not holding.

great to have spare parts
always good to see a company and a product designed with repairs in mind. Part fits perfectly my original Rok, improved i would say
