CineFlow Filter

Plenty of fun, gives me ideas for other shoots. Only issue I found was autofocus. I didn't like the adjustments but I think that was the depth of field along with the filter making it quirky. Manual focus and I had much more freedom. Sony A9II, 85mm GM1. 4 shot at iso125, f2, 1/500. Very recommended!

I really enjoy the creative possibilities the CineFlow filter offers. It's a well-built filter with thick, high-quality glass, and the results are unlike anything else in my camera bag. I've had a lot of fun experimenting with it, and if you pick one up, I'm sure you'll enjoy playing and creating with it.

Interesting way to keep things interesting! I'm a motorsports photographer, so many of my images are designed to convey a sense of speed and motion. What appealed to me about the CineFlow filter was, what it might add to those motion shots. It's interesting. I'm still finding the best use for it for action, but I'm learning it. Personally I like it more on subjects that have sections of bright differing color, or points of brightness. The "flow" is more dynamic with bands of color or streaks of brightness. This filter arrived just as the "pixel stretch" fad exploded in motorsports photography, and I think this is a more pure expression of that concept. Of course it can be used on static subjects as well. In that regard I could see it being used to create a background element for a hero card, or when shooting cars/bikes in the paddock. One tip — you need to either move your focal point outside the "flow" area or switch to manual focus, but that's not a surprise.
