Get the Hoist and a Rappel Rope Bag to save time!

I purchased this hoist and the rappel rope bag to save time. I was using my rappel rope to raise my weapon at the beginning of the hunt. That required fully unpacking the rope and then re-stowing once my weapon was at stand height. With the rappel rope bag, most of the rope stays in the bag until you are ready to rappel down. I raise my weapon with the gear hoist which auto-retracts. At the end of the hunt I unpack the rappel rope and lower my weapon with the rope. Then I use the hoist as the pull-down rope for my rappel rope. Again the auto-retract feature saves time on the ground because I do not have to deal with the dynaglide string that frequently tangled on branches and had to be manually wound up and stowed. The Summit hoist has a flat tape instead of a string like some other hoists, and the tape is more comfortable on your hands if the load is heavy as with a rifle.
