Beautifully Blended, But Too Quiet for Me

Lucius is undeniably a beautiful fragrance. It comes across smooth, complex, slightly powdery, with a subtle floral quality that feels very refined and well blended. I genuinely enjoyed the scent itself and found myself going back to smell it throughout the wear. Unfortunately, performance was the deciding factor for me. Even with a fairly generous application, projection became very intimate on my skin, and I also found the drydown leaned just slightly more feminine than I personally prefer. At this price point, I need a bit more presence and longevity. Still, I’m very glad I sampled it. This is exactly the kind of fragrance that deserves a proper skin test before committing to a full bottle.

Fragrance Du Bois - Lucious Maximus

Citrus/Woody with some Vanilla/Tonka from the amber - It smells really good. To my nose, reminds me of Creed Aventus Absolu. Almost like a close 1 for 1. With that bright and fruity opening to that signature cedarwoody amberish aroma that made Creed so popular. I have a hard time recommending this. It does smell amazing, but for the price, you may as well get the OG. I'd highly recommend a sample and see for yourself.
