I've used my black A&P ring to better connect my Savotta Trinket Pouch to the key leash in the quick access pocket on the top of my backpack. It surprisingly adds to the comfort of using the pouch this way.

For pesky gear and multitools with useful holes that need to stay useful

I've added this silver A&P ring to a CountyComm Warclaw that happened to have a bit holder on its end. It's a perfect solution for this, when you don't trust paracord and want something more substantial. But it's easy to cover in gutted paracord, with cinched or rolled and sewn edges, to make it less conspicuous in a way.
