Great sandals

As an 80 year old walker I have been adapting to barefoot shoes for several years now and I love that I found my perfect barefoot sandals in Santa Cruz. I’m still breaking them in but they are wonderful and well made. I got the thicker sole and am so glad. These old feet still do 4-5 miles a day and a little extra padding works for me. I love the look of them too.

I've bought a few different barefoot shoes the last couple of years, and these are my favorite I've found. I've taken them hiking, white water rafting, to the beach, and just walking around and I love that the straps keep them closely gripped to my feet while still being super lightweight. The toe loop is great for preventing your feet from sliding forward, which is something I was specifically looking for based on the other brands I've tried. The strap material is comfortable and doesn't get as tangled or twisted as other brands as well. They stay fairly grippy when wet (a little less than when dry, but the straps make it less of a big deal compared to most sandals). It is a little hard to adjust the front straps, but you don't need to do that super often so not that big of a deal. Super happy overall.

So far so good a week in

The real test will be the test of time, I live in AZ and will wear these near-daily and put them through a lot of steps. Sandals tend to wear out quickly for me so I'm interested in how the reparability will factor in later this summer.
