Close. But not quite.

I had high hopes. People said great things. And when the sandals finally arrived in my size, I thought they were pretty good at first. Unfortunately, I don't think so anymore. The ultrasuede stretches. Becomes very thin and narrow as you wear them. Any sweat on the sole makes it very slippery, which would normally be okay, but this sandal has hard plastic pieces to hold the suede up and give it shape. But now my heels are shifting and sliding to the sides, and the hard plastic y anchor frames are digging into my skin in a very uncomfortable way. And these plastic reinforced y anchors are too close together, like the sandal is too narrow back at the heel where anchors are. I wanted to love them so much. They do feel very nice when you first put them on but I don't think the ultrasuede is the right material for a sandal like this. It is soft, yes, but I think it's problems stem from the fact that it's too soft. It's also just too stretchy of a material to use for a sandal that's supposed to be all about having a secure fit. The return/exchange process is also a big pain. Very slow shipping. Maybe other shamma sandals are better,

Really Great Sandals

I recently lost 100 pounds,but also muscle mass. I was feeling unstable in my usual shoes. A friend recommended zero drop shoes to help me regain my proprioception. I looked many sandals and then I found these. Very happy with them.

Fit great and very comfortable. I would measure your foot and just go ever so slightly larger shoe length than your foot length. Strap material is very soft and doesnt rub. Leather is a nice touch and is breaking in well.
