Excellent Jars

I love the Sourhouse jars, so much that I decided I need two more of each size. I had been using my Weck canning jars for my starter, but the Sourhouse jars are so thoughtfully designed - straight sides, dot measurement markings, and silicone lids and bands. Do yourself a favor and get multiples.

I used my quart jar today for the first time and I absolutely just love it to pieces! Not that I needed any more jars for sure, but I am so glad I bought these. Love the silicone lids! As a bonus, the glass lids from other jars fit these while feeding your starter!

Best Starter Jars Ever!

I had been looking for starter jars that were easy to get my hand into so I could watch them easily. I found the recommendation for the starter jars on The Sourdough Journey website. As always their recommendations were spot on. I purchased the pint and quart combo for the versatility. The jars work perfectly. The silicone lid fits snug enough to,protect your starter while still allowing gases to escape. The jars are smooth and wash easily. The jars have straight sides and there are no threads for flour to adhere to. They also come with a gold silicone marking band which makes it easy to see how the starter is rising, I highly recommend the starter jars! They are perfect!
