Soltera 2.5 Ebike

My very first eBike. This is the one that peaked my interest in ebikes. Did my research, many....far too many to choose from. In the end, came back to the one that started it all for me.

Loved this bike until...

Let me start by saying I really enjoy riding this bike. It is lightweight, sleek, and rides like a real road bike. That being said, I have been experiencing battery issues of late. It feels like the battery isn't connecting to its sensors and is loose. I get that riding in the city comes with a lot of bumping around, but I fee like a bike that is one year old should not been experiencing these issues. Overall, I love my Soltera. But riding it without power is definitely less fun.

Very disappointing quality and customer support

I started using my Aventon e-bike in January 2026, and within just a few months I experienced multiple serious issues: repeated flat tires, an unstable battery that does not stay properly secured, intermittent loss of power while riding, and persistent shifting issues. At this price point, I would expect a reliable product, but that has not been my experience. What is particularly disappointing is the response from Aventon support. Only one of the issues was partially addressed, with a capped reimbursement amount, while the other issues have not been meaningfully addressed at all. Responses have been slow, incomplete, and selective, with key points simply left unanswered. For the repeated flat tires, I was even advised to install aftermarket inserts to prevent punctures — which effectively suggests that the standard setup is not sufficient. If that is the case, it should be addressed by the manufacturer, not left to the customer. Overall, I do not feel that my concerns have been taken seriously at all. My husband has been using the same bike since the same time, and is experiencing similar quality problems. His bike already shows clear signs of poor build quality and instability after limited use. Overall, I have lost confidence in both the product and the customer support. Based on my (and my husbands) experience, I would unfortunately not recommend purchasing an Aventon e-bike...
