First Bike as an Adult
I was really excited to get a bike to ride to work and for exercise, and I love how the Soltera 2.5 is light enough that I can bike normally, and then use pedal assist if I encounter a hill or headwind! I can also pick it up, which isn't true for most ebikes in my case, so I love that as well! I've had it for about a month and a half and am loving it.

DC Daily commuter rain or shine
Soltera 2.5 -Purchased Sept 2025 (fenders attached) Mon thru Fri...Daily Commuter=6 miles round trip via DC bike lanes I commute 5 days a week(rain/shine). Obviously don't ride in snow or downpours. For me, bike is a disappointment. It should come with better urban tires, something with real tread like Kendra tires. The tires on it are downright dangerous. They provide no stopping grip, which you need in city commuting,as drivers never see bikers. Aventon chose tires which provide better range but sacrifice grip. The rear cassette (sprocket)rusted within 5 months. Except for the low gear sprocket with Shimano on it bc it's quality rust proof metal. Battery down to 63-68% after 9 miles. At 65% Pwr,max speed is 15/16 mph. Local bike shops are everywhere, but they all refuse to work on Aventon. Now experiencing disc brake issues. feel like fluid has leaked out bc levers are spongy. the pads are rubbing the disc. This bike is garage kept and wiped down weekly. My father used to have a bike shop, so I can fix a lot of these issues. For others with no repair experience, find a local bike authorized to work on Aventons before you buy. I hate that this sounds so bad, I just feel Aventon cut a few corners to hit a certain price point. Change the tires(something safer) ...Changes the rear sprockets you added to the Shimano cassette(change to a metal that doesn't rust so easily)... Add a shock to front fork... and the bike could be something special.

My very first eBike. This is the one that peaked my interest in ebikes. Did my research, many....far too many to choose from. In the end, came back to the one that started it all for me.
