Basically, I use the remote for turning my helmet on and off. That's because I have not ridden at night yet so can't tell if the turn signals and break light actually displays while riding. But, believing that they are, I feel very secure with my helmet and this remote.

I'm 72. I've bicycled all my life. It was my way of commuting all through my college years, along with being one of my recreational activities.(like bicycling around the state of Wisconsin.) I have an E-bike now, and a knee replacement. My husband was worried about me on an E-bike "at my age". I told him that I'd buy a new helmet, and that he would know if I crashed. I told him about the lights and other safety features. He was convinced, and I'm still out riding. I love the safety features on the helmet. The bug screen is a relief psychologically, but seems to provide a bit less padding than the conventional pads. I would rather have it though. It takes a little while to put the remote on the handlebars, and a nice clip might be more helpful for that. I wish the helmet were a tad lighter, but I know there is a price to pay for the safety features that I've gained. I would love it if there were a way to add two emergency contacts. In my case, my husband is usually not in my neighborhood, but my cousin lives right around the corner. It would be nice if I could have them both notified in case of a crash. One more thing. I needed to exchange sizes, and I had a few small issues with the post office. Unit 1 helped me, and even expedited the shipping of my new helmet. That was great service and I thank you.

While I think this is cool..... you can't tell when you activate the blinker - you finger is over the light, it doesn't stay lighted to know, the only way to tell is if you look in the mirror to see if it was activated... I also forget to remove it from the bike at the end of a ride and have lost one already....Also I have no idea how to determine how often to charge it.
It would be great if it glowed in the dark somehow so I could see it if it is dark out or to find it.
