The Aventon foldable lock review

The Aventon foldable lock is solid and convenient, and I appreciate that it was included with my new Level 3. However, the straps that secure the lock holder to the bike broke very quickly, which made the lock difficult to carry safely. The problem is with the small plastic locking pieces that hold the straps in place. Those plastic parts broke shortly after I started using the lock, so the holder could no longer be secured safely to the bike. I think the lock is useful, but the mounting system needs stronger plastic clips or a more durable attachment design.

No place to mount it on my Level 4 Rec Step Through.

There is only one offered place to add accessories on the bike and that is where I have a water bottle. Strapping it to the front of seat post is an option, but it gets in the way stepping through. No room to strap to the back of the seat post. The lock works great but it now takes space in my back rack bag.
