Haven't had this long enough to tell if it does any good, but I have used it as a base coat. Application is a bit messy. I would recommend going in with thin coats and letting it dry completely before adding anything on top. It also has very faint pale blue tint to it, so if you don't like that - probably best to skip this treatment.
