Needing Iodine

I have been taking supplementary iodine at various I intervals for about 2 years now. I can't say that I notice any difference but I believe the natural sources of iodine have been lost as in using iodised salt, now that the use of deep sea salt has gained popularity & it is something we need to maintain.
