I wanted very much to love this little gadget and it IS somewhat better than the mini miter block and saw I was using previously. The things I don't love about it are 1) It's not as stable as it could be. When I need to exert a little more force to get the saw through a piece of hardwood, it moves around. Not the base but the contraption that's supposed to hold the saw in place as it moves back and forth through the object being cut. 2) The clearance between the top and lowest positions of the saw is not quite high enough. I can't stand a piece of 3/8" molding on edge to make a mitered cut on dollhouse cornice molding or anything else that size or taller. 3) I did have a little trouble attaching the saw handle to the blade that came with it as well as the 2 additional blades I purchased. I finally got it but it was an ordeal. It works very well on very small or very flat objects but I believe the design could be improved to make it even better. It won't go to the trash bin but I'm still in search of the perfect small miter saw that fits all of my needs.
