Great product
This is my second batch of the plug mini and couldn’t be happier. Although the item specs say that they might not work in very cold weather I haven’t had a problem with the 2 in my unheated garage to power security lighting here in SE Wisconsin. They are very easy to change times and turn on and off manually with the app. Definitely worth the money and not having to deal with working with standard or digital timers is an added plus. The Switchbot plug mini are a game changer.

SmartPlugs work great as a ir back up check
Some time the ir blaster doesn't work due to ir not being the best and need direct line of sight . i use these as a back up to verify that the ir blaster worked by comparing the signal before and after with the power consumption reading from the plug. So ir blaster sent but didn't work it will read 0 on power consumption and resend the signal till the power increases and verifies the ir blaster worked.

A great outlet
The switchbot mini outlet isn't really mini. There are others that are smaller. However, I doubt that there are others with better software. It's the software that shines with this outlet. It connects to the software within a few seconds. If your phone is set on a 5G network, the app tells you and let's you switch to the 2.4 Lan and connect. It also has automated settings to control it and it works flawlessly with Google Home. I love the combination.
