really nice pack. super comfortable
the strap access pouches are perfect for phone and hydration
the clip looks like it could be a little bit of a liability if you fell going forward as it’s a pointy piece of metal. The waist belt is unfortunately sized without much extra strap material. Anything above a 32 inch waist and any clothing and you won’t be able to close the buckle.
climbs and skis nicely
packs well

Great Overall, But Not for Average Sized Men
The pack is pretty much as described with one major flaw. The waist strap is just long enough for a person of average size without too many layers. I'm a little larger than average and it just about closes, but it will be non-functional when fully dressed for the cold. Super bummed about this since I've never seen anything like this with any kind of pack (and I have owned too many to count).

Fantastic lil bag
I bought this to replace my 32 S Ortovox backpack because it was still too long for my torso. Of course I decide to test out the Taka 22 on the ski day I end up packing the most stuff. Full boot crampons (ski crampons not in yet), sandwich, snacks, water, layers, first air, emergency warm layers, avalanche gear. It all fit!!! So comfy to carry, ski carry works while holding helmet, and the inside zipper is so clutch. Love this bag. I want 3. And was comfy to carry on my super short torso without bonking anything.
