Violet’s Pride
The rose was well packaged and arrived undamaged. Unfortunately, when I was reading more about the variety I discovered it was hardy up to zone 6. I am a zone 5. I have planted it in a protected spot and plan to cover it this winter, so hopefully it makes it. I wish the website would have had some sort of warning that I was about to order a rose that is not rated for my zone.

Violet's Pride
She's just a month old. She came, like all of the Heirloom products, right on time and ready for success. The rose was planted in her container immediately after arrival with the supplements added to the new soil as Heirloom suggested. There are three blooms already about to open. We're in the Houston area and the weather since she got here has been down to the 40's, then up to 80+, strong winds, then downpours over one whole day. She's strong and showing no signs of disease! Can't wait to enjoy this beauty and her fragrance as she grows.
