Cool Pet Pad

Our dog loves it

Got this for our poor golden retriever who gets overheated and then searches endlessly for new cool spots on the floor. He LOVES it. We could tell the first time he used it that it immediately started cooling him off by the way his breathing slowed. The mat is heavier than expected, but not really an issue once it’s in place (until we have to wash the cover.) It’s big enough he can spread out on it, which was a big concern, and seems to be doing its job. Glad we got this before summer really kicks in.

rugged build and cools - just took a bit to accept

Our Cockapoo has had gel mats before but they were more gel pad inserts in a cloth exterior. Over time, they wear out or weep and eventually stop cooling. This mat seems to be made with vinyl or other outer skin that will resist the nesting/digging before the pet lays down. It takes a while for the folds from unpacking sort out and she was hesitant to get on a new surface but gradually figured out that it was cool and now sprawls on it as one of her preferred surfaces. Time will tell on overall performance and life but, given the apparent quality of exterior material, I expect this to last a while.

Really keeps it cool

I am so impressed at how chilled the mat gets. It doesn't feel cool if you just touch it, but if you put pressure on it (ie dog lays on it) then it starts cooling and as cold as a cold floor (even when it is hot out and no floor is cold). Very happy with this and think we need a second!
